May was a whirlwind for the Health Outreach Partners team! (Smruti Shah, Jing Murray, MPH Elsy Hernández, MPH, CHES® Liam Spurgeon, Christina Mestas, Cynthia Selmi) We kicked off the month celebrating our amazing University of San Francisco intern—and now newest team member—Dr. Aayushi A S. at her MPH poster presentation. From there, we flew to Grand Rapids, MI to support the Agricultural Worker Health Spring Symposium with our partners at the National Center for Farmworker Health (NCFH), Inc. ✈️ 🌽 While there, we got to hang out with our Migrant Clinicians Network friends and colleagues Renai Edwards and Theressa Lyons-Clampitt. Next up: our Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSAgov), HHS on-site visit, where we shared the impact of our work and learned from federal partners. Joe Lee, MSHA and Ryan Lau are Board members, joined us to support HOP. To wrap it all up, we took a well-deserved break and reconnected as a team with a relaxing visit to the SFMOMA San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Grateful for our team! #Teamwork #SelfCare #Healthcare #hoponthemove

Each year, the week leading up to and including Father’s Day is Men’s Health Week. A time to focus on keeping our fathers, brothers, uncles, and sons healthy. This is a great time to provide education on health issues that disproportionately affect men, raise awareness of preventable health problems, and encourage early disease detection and treatment. So happy to be spending this week with our amazing team in Grand Rapids, MI! Today, some members of our Health Outreach Partners team toured a blueberry farm and a migrant health center, while Executive Director Cynthia Selmi attended an inspiring workshop on 'Adaptive Leadership for Managing Change,' hosted by our colleagues at the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC). A powerful start to the Agricultural Worker Health Spring Symposium! If you are here, stop by our exhibit table and say HI! #ValueCHCs #SpringSymposium #HOPOnTheMove
